KVOA-TV is looking for a Senior News Producer to lead the editorial direction and execution of our evening newscasts. The ideal candidate is an experienced journalist who can identify the day’s most important stories, make sound decisions under pressure and deliver news coverage that connects with Southern Arizona viewers.
If you are a team player who excels at breaking news coverage, has strong news judgement and values great journalism, we’d like to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
You’ll work with a fast-moving team, must have strong writing and storytelling skills and be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced newsroom. You’ll not only line produce but be involved in all aspects of writing and publishing stories for all of our station’s platforms.Requirements:
· Two years of line producing experience at a commercial television station is recommended · ENPS knowledge is a plus · Strong writing skills are critical · Clear understanding of best practices for digital-based news writing and distribution · Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to breaking news events · Must have the ability to make quick decisions · A pre-employment background check is required. · Good driving record. Must possess or be able to obtain an Arizona driver’s license.Contact:
