Job Description
We are looking for a Production Operations Specialist to join the Technology team in Salt Lake City, Utah, supporting Telemundo Utah. As a Production Operations Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for preparing and executing the operation of the automated production control system (APC) for live and taped television broadcasts. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and direct live and taped news television broadcasts
- Code rundowns for all broadcasts using INews
- Work in conjunction with editorial and production personnel to create and execute newscasts utilizing an automated production control system
- Give direction and timing to talent and other technicians on broadcasts
- Perform Director and Director Assist duties as required
- Weekly disaster recovery training
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Assist with editing newscasts, news content, and promotional topicals as needed
Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in television directing in a live news environment
- Minimum 3 years working with and knowledge of television production equipment
- Minimum 3 years of experience with computer applications working and monitoring multiple screens and software applications simultaneously in a broadcast environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience with newsroom computer systems
- Minimum 1 year experience with Automated Production Control systems (ROSS OverDrive preferred)
