We are looking for a hands-on leader with proven success in the media and advertising space to join Townsquare as a General Sales Manager. This is a management position with a focus on driving revenue by building a culture of success and leading their team to become the best in-class media company in their local market.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities In this role, you will manage the daily operations of the local radio, live event, and digital sales department, leading the sales team to exceed revenue targets through strategic planning and accountability. You’ll focus on retaining and supporting top performers while recruiting, training, and developing new account executives to build a high-performing sales organization. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will drive key account growth through results-based, integrated programs while generating new business and advancing marketing initiatives. You’ll take ownership of digital revenue growth, ensuring the team meets company-established digital goals, and maximize client revenue opportunities through effective account list management. With a strong daily presence in the field, you’ll meet with prospects and clients, assist account executives with presentations, and provide in-field coaching. You’ll set clear expectations and hold account executives accountable to their daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs, all while representing TSM to key client accounts and within the community to foster strong partnerships. Additionally, you’ll monitor competitive activity, evaluate market trends, and serve as an integral member of the leadership team, helping to guide the organization toward continued growth and success.

Requirements:

Qualifications You have over three years of sales management and/or marketing experience in digital and broadcast media, with a strong understanding of digital marketing solutions and a proven track record of successfully selling these offerings. Radio and website sales experience are considered strong pluses. You have prior experience setting clear sales metrics and holding your team accountable for performance. Known for your strong communication skills, you excel at developing compelling written proposals and delivering engaging verbal presentations. Your background demonstrates a successful history in consultative selling, consistently driving results through strategic client engagement and solution-based sales.
