KMTV, the Scripps CBS in Omaha, NE is hiring an Assistant Chief Engineer! The Assistant Chief assists the Director of Engineering in modeling world-class customer service to all business partners, internal and external, to the Scripps organization with a positive “can-do” attitude while sharing responsibility for broadcast operations including all video, audio and associated equipment while adhering to policies and procedures established by management.

Ability to relate business matters to technical staff. Team player. Highly self-directed and can work independently. Can manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines smoothly. Knowledge of FCC rules. Demonstrated understanding of electronic, electrical, mechanical and information systems. Must have a keen interest in emerging broadcast related technologies and how they might be utilized in our business environment. Can manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines smoothly. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Valid driver's license and good driving record required. In addition, proof of insurance and liability coverage may be required.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Associate degree in computer science, electrical or electronic engineering; or equivalent experience required. Bachelor degree preferred. At least 3 years broadcast operations experience required. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Network or SBE certification preferred.
