Standard Media is looking for an energetic and dedicated person to join our team as News Anchor to help lead the NOW brand.
Responsibilities:
Anchor newscasts. Research, gather, write, and develop news content for multiple platforms. Coach and mentor the news team. Be a newsroom leader who builds up the team and champions our NOW branding and our NOW app. Work quickly, meet deadlines and multi-task, especially during high-pressure breaking news situations. Provide editorial assistance and/or oversight on assigned newscasts. Lead the team in winning breaking news. Attend community events on behalf of the station. Create contacts and a network in the community. Go live in newscasts as needed.Requirements:
The ideal candidate must connect on camera with a sense of urgency and be adept at anchoring breaking news and telling community-centered stories. Strong fact-checking skills and copy-editing ability Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal This position requires exceptional news judgment, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented approach to winning.Contact:
