Description:

The Radio Sales Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing advertising partnerships with local businesses through PMG’s family of radio stations. This position focuses on identifying client needs, creating compelling radio advertising solutions, and working with the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals. While the primary focus is on radio sales, this role will also incorporate digital elements to strengthen campaign results and client ROI.

Responsibilities:

●     Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and regional advertisers. ●     Create and present customized radio advertising proposals that meet client objectives. ●     Work closely with VP/GM, Director of Sales, and Account Executives to grow station revenue and market share. ●     Identify opportunities to incorporate PMG’s digital products (such as streaming, social media, and online display) to complement traditional radio campaigns. ●     Collaborate with production and promotions teams to develop creative and effective on-air campaigns. ●     Conduct needs analysis and provide marketing recommendations to clients. ●     Maintain accurate records of client activity, proposals, and pending business. ●     Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Stay current on industry trends, station formats, and competitive media activity in the market.  

Requirements:

●     Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred (not required). ●     2+ years of experience in media sales, advertising, or marketing preferred. ●     Strong understanding of radio advertising and its ability to drive consumer behavior. ●     Knowledge of digital marketing products (social, OTT, streaming, etc.) a plus. ●     Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. ●     Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities. ●     Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; CRM experience helpful.
