Internship Opportunities
Audience Impact
Research audience metrics across platforms, help build reporting dashboards, and assist with data analysis to strengthen community engagement and measure impact.

Web/Digital
Support website content development for nhpbs.org through webpage updates, graphics editing, and digital content management.

Production
Assist with local productions through research, interview coordination, field production support, camera operation, studio preparation, and other production tasks.

The State We’re In
Contribute to NHPBS’s weekly public affairs program through research, content development, webpage updates, field work, and editorial meetings. Ideal for journalism students.

Communications & Marketing
Help create content for social media, email marketing, and promotions while learning multimedia communication strategies.

Educational Outreach
Support education initiatives including Granite State Challenge, Kids Write Contest, STEM programs, and community events.

Information Technology
Assist with database design, reporting tools, system integration, and documentation supporting station technology projects.

Development
Support fundraising activities, donor engagement, auctions, events, and database management. Some evening or weekend event support may be required.

Responsibilities:

New Hampshire PBS (NHPBS) offers paid internships for students interested in journalism, digital media, broadcasting, communications, nonprofit fundraising, education, and television technology. Interns gain hands-on experience working alongside professionals while supporting meaningful public media serving communities across New Hampshire. Schedule: Minimum 10 hours per week Hours: Flexible between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends Positions are limited.

Requirements:

Internships are offered during the fall semester, spring semester and over the summer. Fall internships typically begin the first week of September. Spring internships typically begin mid to late January. Summer internships typically begin in late May to early June. Application deadline dates for an internship at NHPBS are ongoing: Limited opportunities for interns are available during Winter, Spring and other academic breaks.
