​Join our creative, award-winning Television Videography/Editing Department at Nebraska Public Media, Nebraska’s PBS and NPR stations. As a videographer/editor you will be responsible for shooting and editing single-camera productions, as well as operating studio and sports remote television cameras. We create a variety of broadcast and digital content for local and national audiences, from short magazine-style stories to full-length documentaries. This position primarily works in a three-person team with a Producer and Audio Engineer. Knowledge of production equipment, such as drones, 360 VR cameras, DSLR cameras, sliders, gimbal and jibs would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

Associate’s degree in Broadcasting or related field plus one year’s experience in capturing video and audio in the field, and editing with non-linear computer software. A working knowledge of a cross-section of production tools including television cameras, editing systems, lighting, audio equipment and graphics. Knowledge of multiple video formats and range of production techniques. Non-linear editing skills. Ability to determine necessary equipment for assigned project, pack and travel to the site, capture content as required by the Producer, strike, and return equipment to proper location. Ability to position a camera and compose and shoot technically and aesthetically pleasing pictures.
