Nebraska Public Media, Nebraska’s PBS & NPR Stations, is seeking an experienced salesperson to represent the entire Nebraska Public Media portfolio, including Radio, Television, and Digital Underwriting Sales (Advertising), Event Sponsorships and Local Production Partnerships. This position will be based out of Lincoln, NE, but will travel to Greater Nebraska to visit clients. Job responsibilities include: develop strategic sales relationships with existing and prospective clients; create, present and close multi-platform sponsorship opportunities; help clients meet content and production requirements and deadlines through account management; achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals; provide reporting, and attend meetings as necessary.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, telecommunications or a related field plus two (2) General sales or customer service experience; equivalent education/experience will be considered. Must have proven sales experience. Demonstrated ability to service clients through proposal development, account management, contract negotiation and closing skills. Ability to work with diverse constituencies; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong cold-calling skills; strong computer skills, including general office programs such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.
