Description:
The North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives (NDAREC) in Mandan, N.D., is seeking a Managing Editor to lead the planning, creation and production of North Dakota Living magazine while supporting broader communications efforts. This role manages editorial content, collaborates with colleagues, writers, designers and photographers, and ensures high-quality journalism that strengthens relationships with member cooperatives.
Responsibilities:
What you’ll do:- Lead editorial creation and production of North Dakota Living magazine
- Write, edit, and assign compelling content
- Coordinate freelancers, layouts and production schedules
- Oversee layout, schedules and final proofs to ensure quality and deadlines
- Support strategic communications and branding efforts
- Create and publish content across digital and social medial platforms
Requirements:
- 5yrs of editorial or communications experience in publishing, media or a related role
- Prefer a degree in journalism, communications or a related field; an equivalent of 5yrs education and experience will be considered
