Job Description
KULX Telemundo Utah is looking for a driven and results-oriented Creative Services Manager to join our team.  The successful candidate will oversee creative services and marketing for our linear and non-linear product portfolio.  The Creative Services Manager will develop multiplatform marketing strategies to define the brand, build awareness, drive Utah audiences, and help create sales marketing opportunities for Telemundo Utah’s advertising partners across a wide range of industries.

Develop strategies by identifying opportunities to implement effective use of on air & off-air resources that maximize the Telemundo Utah brand, through advertising and strategic partnerships.  Utilizing quantitative and qualitative data, collaborating with cross-functional teams building on organic growth initiatives. Lead Utah’s Creative Services department and serve as interface with key departments such as: News, Research, Digital, and Sales.

  Overall Responsibilities include: Develop and provide strategic direction on all advertising and brand partnerships to align with overall station goals Cross-functional collaboration with other departments and divisions to identify opportunities Close collaboration with news management on station strategies, marketing plans and topical promotion on air and across platforms Develop thresholds to evaluate ROI of all advertising and community partnerships Fiscally responsible in management of overall Creative Services operational budget Attend, participate and contribute to cross-functional meetings Work in partnership across several markets and other NBCU properties. Grow and develop the creative services team Enhance / leverage relationships (internal and external) to look for new opportunities Cultivate and lead external partnerships with local community organizations and local corporate social responsibility efforts Coordínate local station campaigns, supporting the Station, Station Group, Network initiatives, local events, and specials Ability to successfully build positive client and community relationships Create, Produce, Plan, Organize, Write, Shoot, and Edit impactful promotional, marketing and branding campaigns


  Qualifications Qualifications/Requirements: 3 years of strategic brand planning and/or strategic marketing experience Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in marketing, advertising, communications or finance) Bilingual (English and Spanish) able to read, write and speak Spanish and English Previous management experience required, including training and developing a creative team Developing, executing and sustaining a consistent brand for the station across multiple platforms Understanding of digital/social marketing Strong non-linear editing portfolio and visual communication experience. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software. Knowledge of the U.S. Hispanic market Media sales knowledge and understanding Must be a self-starter, highly organized with the ability to multi-task Ability to work effectively under pressure Flexibility and composure to work on tight deadlines and multiple projects Strong follow-up skills Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, stoop, clean, bend, and reach with hands and arms.       Desired Characteristics: Bachelor’s degree (Preferably in business, marketing, advertising, communications or finance) or similar experience Local broadcast television experience Proficiency in creative software tools such as: Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe® After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Audition and Cinema 4d.
