Description:

WMDT is seeking a creative journalist to join our news team. Must be a community-minded, strong storyteller with the ability to multi-task and work hands-on in broadcast news.

Responsibilities:

–       Anchor Evening Newscasts and approve scripts.

–       Report and edit daily news content for broadcast and the web.

–       Conduct interviews, research topics thoroughly and write clear and compelling scripts.

–       Establish and maintain key contacts for covering local content.

–       Maintain and grow a social media presence.

–       Produce newscasts as assigned.

–       Engage with the community and viewers through social media, appearances, and events.

Three-year contract: minimum 40/hrs. week, overtime possible, but not guaranteed.
