We are looking for someone who understands that today’s on-air personality connects with listeners both on the radio and beyond the broadcast.

Responsibilities:

Host live and/or recorded on-air shifts as assigned. Deliver entertaining, informative and relevant content appropriate for the station's format and audience. Follow station clocks, program logs and established format guidelines. Accurately execute commercials, promotional announcements, contests, station imaging and other scheduled programming elements. Interact with listeners through phone calls, text, social media and other station platforms. Create and contribute content for station websites, social media and other digital platforms as needed. Record and edit audio, promotional material and other production elements when assigned. Represent Manchester Media Group and its stations at promotional appearances, community events, client events and station functions. Monitor the technical quality of the broadcast and report problems to the appropriate staff. Follow all company policies, FCC regulations and established broadcast standards. Properly handle EAS activations, severe weather information, breaking news and other situations requiring immediate on-air attention. Work collaboratively with Programming, Promotions, Sales and other departments. Perform additional programming and station duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Strong communication skills and a confident, conversational on-air delivery. Ability to connect with listeners and communicate in an engaging and relatable way. Knowledge of and interest in the station's format, audience and local community. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Ability to follow station clocks, logs and programming instructions accurately. Basic audio production and editing skills preferred. Familiarity with broadcast automation, studio equipment and digital audio systems preferred. Comfortable using social media and creating digital content. Previous radio, podcasting, broadcasting or related experience is preferred, but talented candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Must be dependable, punctual and able to perform in a live broadcast environment. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule based on station needs. Candidates should be available for a combination of weekday, evening, weekend and holiday shifts. Part-time on-air personalities may also be asked to provide vacation or emergency fill-in coverage for regularly scheduled air shifts.
