KWWL, the NBC affiliate serving Eastern Iowa, needs an experienced meteorologist who understands the importance of severe storm coverage. From spring and summer tornados to winter blizzards; we see it all. We are looking for someone who is a great forecaster, good communicator, and calm under pressure.
We have a five-person weather team, the next generation in weather graphics and storm tracking with the WSI Max system and live cameras throughout the DMA. Plus, we have all the other tools you need to successfully tell your weather story.
The Waterloo-Cedar Rapids-Dubuque-Iowa City market is a great place to live with numerous colleges and universities, good quality of life, low cost of living, ample recreation and close proximity to Minneapolis, Chicago, and Des Moines.

Responsibilities:
You’ll primarily forecast weather for our Saturday and Sunday newscasts and forecast for various other newscasts and platforms three days during the week. You’ll also do live shots from major breaking weather stories across the 21 counties we serve in eastern Iowa. This is a full-time weather position.Requirements:
