KWQC-TV6 is looking for a self-starter who likes to be in control of their own story. Candidate must have experience in shooting good video, writing their own scripts, finding unique ways to tell the story (not just in package form), and engaging with viewers/followers on social media.

Responsibilities:
- Candidate would be part of a new generation of video journalists expected to also know how to produce entire newscasts when needed, giving reporters a bigger picture of how their stories play into an entire day of coverage.
- Reporters are expected to build their interaction with followers online throughout the day with a digital-first mentality.
- Candidate should not only handle, but expect curveballs in story assignments and be ready to go live at any point.

Requirements:
- The qualified applicant will have a college degree with previous experience in a newsroom as a reporter, photographer, and/or video journalist.
- Must have a valid drivers' license and be insurable.
- Ideal candidate must have experience going live on television.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to lift and/or carry and manage news photography and lighting equipment. You are also frequently exposed to outside conditions.
