KWQC-TV6, the NBC affiliate in Davenport, Iowa, has an immediate opportunity for a Weekend Anchor and Producer. This position also reports as an MMJ three weekdays. The top candidate will be a dynamic, high-level storyteller who delivers every day. This is a high-profile position that requires initiative, leadership, and impact. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (include, but not limited to):- Experience using Edius, internet production tools, and ENPS
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule and work as a member of a team.
- Must possess advanced understanding of newscast presentation.
- Must possess excellent writing & graphics skills with ability to provide an interesting & substantive product.
- Must be results oriented.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a creative, fast paced environment.
- Ability to make quick decisions without losing composure.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
- Previous experience with script writing and editorial experience preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of covering news
- At least three years' experience as a reporter or anchor
- Confident & experienced performance on-air
- Ability to handle breaking news on-air, on digital and behind the scenes
- Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience
