Position Overview

The Network Engineer is a Mid-Level Network & Telephony role that works in conjunction and/or under the direction of the Vice President of IT in supporting the corporate Network and Voice infrastructure for the organization.

 

Note: Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.

This position is an onsite role that requires the employee to regularly work at our Salt Lake City site.
What You Will Do:

Primary job duties will include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for day-to-day security best practices across technology and the organization.
Maximizing Network & Telephony Performance through ongoing monitoring & troubleshooting.
Help develop and maintain company-wide best practices for Network Engineering
Assist with the design and implementation of new Network Solutions and/or improving the current networks.
Help with the Procurement and installation of Network/Telephony equipment.
Configuration of Firewalls, Switches, Routers to maintain and improve network efficiency and security.
Research security enhancements and make recommendations to senior leadership.
Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.
Updating network & telephony hardware to the latest approved firmware releases.
Administration & Management of telephony/voice systems.
Manage and improve wireless infrastructure across multiple locations.
Responsible for the design, implementation, and monitoring of the local and wide area networks of the organization.
Configures and installs network hardware and software to meet requirements and conform to technical Design Standards & Best Practices.
Work with the Technology & Security teams to perform tests and uncover network/system vulnerabilities.
Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
Hybrid model of work will be allowed. This will include a schedule with certain days of the work week working from home, and certain days of the work week working in the office.
Manage RCA meetings following any technical or security incidents and help to implement improvements that come

Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:

Typically requires a minimum 2+ years’ experience in technology preferably as a Network/Voice engineer.
Excellent communication skills.
Decision making skills.
Analytical skills.
Knowledge of Infrastructure & Security best practices
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
Must be able to interact with end users and staff in a professional, friendly manner.
Exceptional documentation and communication skills
2+ year’s experience with firewalls. PaloAlto experience preferred.
2+ year of wireless experience
VPN Experience
Telephony/Voice experience preferred
Experience with Cisco Switches
Experience with Mitel, 8×8 or other telephony systems.
Physical Demands

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position about 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access server rooms, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
Ability to lift, carry, push, crawl, pull, or otherwise move objects. General office work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
Lift, move, and carry up to 25-50 pounds on occasion.
Compensation

$56,300.00 – $92,600.00. Salary  to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
