POSITION PURPOSE:
We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented coordinator to help with the operations of the marketing department for KSL and other local stations. In this role, you will be responsible for juggling a variety of tasks and processes. We are looking for someone who will play a crucial role in creating and executing station promotions, creating engaging content for social media, acting as the liaison between multiple departments, along with a variety of administrative tasks that support the marketing team. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives under pressure and will be a key player on our team in assisting us achieve the measure of success.
Note: Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.
This position is an onsite role that requires the employee to regularly work at our Salt Lake City site
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and report on NBC network promotional obligations and fulfillment for the station. Develop close relationship with NBC Affiliate team.
Act as liaison between marketing, sales and news to brainstorm and fulfill promotions.
Manage station contesting creation, tracking and completion.
Manage day-to-day social activations as it relates to NBC across shows – Includes managing posting calendars and schedule, asset development and creation, reporting, live social posting, social optimization, etc.
Work closely with Digital marketing manager to develop, recommend & execute social marketing strategy to help increase ratings, drive engagement, brand affinity and revenue.
Update promotional areas on website and other digital platforms.
Participate/support marketing efforts as needed.
Cross-station collaboration
Understand the KSL brand and what it means to multiple audiences across multiple platforms.
Other tasks as assigned; work schedule as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Ability to track and maintain detailed processes and a large amount of data
High school diploma and minimum 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, medial sales or programming (marketing experience strongly preferred)
Ability to meet or exceed deadlines
Excellent communications skills, including writing and grammar
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to learn other software
Self-starter with the ability to perform job tasks efficiently and effectively with little supervision.
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines and deliver on commitments
Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to operate a computer
Compensation
$21-26. Hourly rate to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
