What You'll Need: Must be knowledgeable and up-to-date on local and national news and issues Clear, pleasant, charismatic, and well-controlled voice Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar, pronunciation, and enunciation skills Well-rounded communication skills for conducting interviews Proficient in media production, audio editing, and broadcast systems Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi task in a fast-paced environment. Self motivated to find and write stories 3+ years’ experience in on-air journalism in smaller market or college station Four-year college degree, preferably in Broadcast Journalism or Communications What You'll Bring: Ability to work within prescribed guidelines without needing close supervision Problem solving skills within established procedures Understanding of when to seek guidance for unforeseen problems Close attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to act in a professional manner and collaborate with colleagues of different levels
