Description:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of weather experience and be able to handle a 2-hour morning newscast.  We have all the tools you need to tackle our challenging weather patterns, from severe weather outbreaks to tornados to the rare high-impact winter events. Our five-person team works with the IBM MAX system, paired with a local network of HD cameras, to provide the best weather coverage in the market.

Responsibilities:

The candidate must be able to create team moments, handle First Alert Weather Days, and give a warm presence to the audience.  Responsibilities will be to communicate with the Weather team, Assignment Manager and Assistant News Director to anchor a fast-paced monthly sequenced, and accurate forecasts daily. Please note - the primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed above.

Requirements:

A Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology is recommended. You'll gain valuable experience and be able to showcase your knowledge by covering a variety of weather, while growing in your career and learning from our top team of experienced meteorologists. Weather is of the utmost importance to our station and the community, so we need a dedicated professional excited to cover the weather 24/7.
