The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of weather experience and be able to handle a 2-hour morning newscast. We have all the tools you need to tackle our challenging weather patterns, from severe weather outbreaks to tornados to the rare high-impact winter events. Our five-person team works with the IBM MAX system, paired with a local network of HD cameras, to provide the best weather coverage in the market.
Responsibilities:
The candidate must be able to create team moments, handle First Alert Weather Days, and give a warm presence to the audience. Responsibilities will be to communicate with the Weather team, Assignment Manager and Assistant News Director to anchor a fast-paced monthly sequenced, and accurate forecasts daily. Please note - the primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed above.Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology is recommended. You'll gain valuable experience and be able to showcase your knowledge by covering a variety of weather, while growing in your career and learning from our top team of experienced meteorologists.
