KPLC-TV in Lake Charles seeks a motivated and dynamic Anchor/MMJ to join our news team. Successful candidate must be a proven leader who is motivated and passionate about storytelling. Ideal candidate must be an effective communicator who excels in reporting. The ability to cultivate sources and produce enterprise stories is a must. Applicant must have a love for local news, a passion for creative storytelling, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to generating story ideas, setting up interviews, shooting/editing stories, anchoring on both linear and streaming platforms. The role also requires maintaining professional social media accounts, assisting producers on showcasing stories, and producing content for our streaming channel.Requirements:
Qualifications include possessing a strong live reporting skills and be driven by breaking news. The successful candidate must also be proficient on all digital platforms. Experience in shooting and editing own stories, a college degree in journalism or related field is also required. Driving is required for this position, so an MVR check required.Contact:
