Responsibilities:

Essential Functions   ORGANIZATION AND QUALITY CONTROL: Manages/manipulates all stations’ logs in order to maximize revenue & provide adequate separation of commercials. Recons logs daily & pull reports from outside systems to complete reconciliation. Formats logs to accommodate changes to programming, e.g, Paid Programming, Traffic Reports. Oversees last minute orders, copy changes, day of air changes as needed. Assigns & applies cart numbers. Approves or rejects orders, check for accuracy & assure traffic will arrive on time. Maintains copy library and filing system for Stations.  This may include system set-up and maintenance. Performs weekly/monthly purge of copy library or as instructed by GSM. COLLABORATION: Works directly with Local Production to assure proper flow of programming & produced spots. Pulls missing copy report daily & provide to AE’s or owner of contract. Assists with triggering of Early Morning Traffic & Weather updates when necessary. Works productively and pro-actively with Management to achieve the highest revenue levels. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CLIENT MANAGEMENT: Directs contact with agencies & large advertisers that provide traffic instructions & copy to station and write-up PO’s for the scheduling of commercials messages. Checks with agencies, large advertisers and local sales people as to the availability of commercials in clearing "copy not received" on a daily basis. LEADERSHIP: Takes responsibility for successful traffic department through: smooth operation of traffic processes & procedures, timely completion of logs, allowing for changes when associated with revenue generation, accuracy in working copy desk and continued support of other departments and development of more efficient systems. Completes all duties associated with managing logs & copy duties including meeting log deadlines, interacting with internal employees and external clients, producing timely copy due reports, trouble shooting problems and improving the efficiency of the traffic department.

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience 2+ years Traffic experience. Organization. Strong organizational and time management skills. The ability to work efficiently against deadlines. Interpersonal Communication. Strong Written and verbal communication. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team and to maintain professional demeanor. Technical Skills. Knowledge of Traffic systems desired, however all experience will be considered.Proficiency with a Windows PC environment and Microsoft Office. Problem Solving. Strong math and puzzle solving skills. Languages: English/Spanish bilingual preferred. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a Full Time position. Actual schedule and hours may vary.
