This is a hybrid on-site/remote role that requires the employee to regularly work at our Salt Lake City/Triad site.
In order to work on Company premises, or with clients / members of the public at other locations, Bonneville employees must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or evidence of a negative COVID-19 test within the previous seven days.
The Systems Engineer III/IV role is an advanced engineering role that works in conjunction and/or under the direction of the Manager of System Engineering supporting the technical infrastructure for the company.
Responsible for the day-to-day operational support for the technical infrastructure required to support the company. Deploys, patches, tests (check for compatibility issues, conducts QA) complex systems and platforms for each market. Assists in planning and implementing changes to the infrastructure with the goal of enhancing performance. Leads in the implementation and support of storage, data migration and disaster recovery operations. Performs installation of software, hardware, and system upgrades. Partners with security to configure security settings or access permissions for groups and individuals. Provides technical support by troubleshooting problems related to systems and infrastructure or platform performance. Manages and configures the company’s Email filter and spam blocking software. Documents complex procedures and troubleshooting procedures related to systems/network software and hardware. Provides technical guidance and assistance to other Engineers and Administrators. Plans and implements system automation as required for better efficiency. Evaluates the existing systems and provides the technical execution to improve those systems. Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability. Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Knowledge and experience in all aspects of data center operations. Advanced experience with systems monitoring and reporting. Must be able to work nights and weekends as the need may arise. Liaise with vendors and other Engineers for problem resolution. Mentor junior engineers and lead analysis of product tradeoffs and deliver simple and intuitive products. Create technical design documentation in adherence to business, source system, target system, and solution architecture requirements. Provide 3+ tier support for problems relating to projects, remediation, hardware, and software. Manage Active Directory network, which involves creating and modifying GPO’s, groups, group memberships, establishing permissions, and ensuring proper access to network resources such as mailboxes, file shares and printers. Provide helpdesk support for advanced escalated requests. Hybrid model of work will be allowed. This will include a schedule with certain days of the work week working from home, and certain days of the work week working in the office. Other duties as assigned.

Microsoft Windows Server OS. (2012-2019)
Linux OS knowledge and experience a plus.
Microsoft Windows Workstation OS. (various)
Microsoft Exchange installation, configuration, and administration (2016-2019).
VMWare installation and administration including vCenter, ESXI, and Horizon View.
Experience with enterprise storage systems including Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), local disk, iSCSI, etc.
Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of SQL administration and installation of SQL instances.
Cloud technology experience like Azure/AWS a plus.
O365 cloud experience.
Experience with PowerShell.
Understanding of and experience with projects, including project initiation, project scoping, deliverables, communication, timelines, coordination, and project closure.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience with enterprise level systems.
Typically requires a minimum of 6-8 years’ experience with Systems Administration.
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Occasional travel may be required to assess and provide service at other sites in Bonneville’s six markets across five states. Traveling includes overnight stays, for work, training, or conferences.
