KINT-TV, Univision 26 in El Paso, TX is looking for a TV News Anchor.  The successful candidate must possess good news judgement, high-degree of credibility and two to five years experience in performing broadcasting duties in a commercial TV newsroom.  Candidate must speak and read from scripted materials such as news reports or commercial messages on television.  Candidate will be responsible for daily content of newscasts writing, producing, and presenting accurate balanced daily news stories for the station’s newscast.


Candidates must produce content daily for live newscasts, research, investigate, write, produce, and anchor general news or special news assignments, recorded and/or
live from the studio/field.  Produce newscasts rundowns.  Must be able to have effective news writing and storytelling ability.  Must be able to perform well under pressure, meet daily deadlines and respond quickly to changes.  Must be organized, highly motivated and results oriented.  Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to identify problems and develop solutions.  Candidate must have strong journalistic standards and ethics.  Work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends and evenings.  Must have and maintain a good driving record.  Minimum of 2-5 years experience anchoring/reporting in television news with an emphasis on “live” studio and “in-the-field” reporting in a small to medium TV market.  Experience with iNews.  Must have experience in developing contacts,
producing hard news stories.  Must be able to interpret and translate from English to Spanish accurately.  Strong computer skills and knowledge of television equipment and editing software (Adobe platform). 


A college degree in journalism, Radio/Television or related field from an accredited University preferred.  Excellent and accurate grammatical Spanish and English skills – both written and oral required.  Bilingual – fluency in English and Spanish is required.  Valid driver’s license is required.
