Standard Media is looking for an energetic and dedicated person to join our team as Breaking News Anchor. We’re looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills, a compelling on-air presence, and a passion for engaging with our community.
Responsibilities:
Anchor newscasts Actively participate in planning of show Engage with community at public events on station’s behalf Pitch stories that have a right now impact Write stories for social media and our website Shoot, write, and edit special reports as needed Create web-extra content Perform other duties as assignedRequirements:
2-years of experience as an anchor Leadership skills A curious, innovative spirit Strong multi-tasking skills Thrive under pressure and deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred Willingness to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysContact:
