The Sales internships responsibilities and duties will include the aid in the production, distribution, fulfillment, and customer services of Clear Channel Radio Rewards Promotion for all stations. They will also work concert and expo events, learn the business processes of the media industry and develop skills on the Arbitron Ratings System.
The Production Intern will learn the day-to-day operations of the radio Production Department, which is responsible for creating and handling all pre-recorded on-air commercial and promotional material. The Intern must have had, or be enrolled in an introductory audio production course. The desired skills include a basic understanding of digital audio production techniques (preferably Cool Edit or Adobe Audition environment), recording, copywriting, database management, and administrative functions. The intern will have the opportunity to acquire skills and experience needed in todays radio broadcast industry and audio production facilities.

SCOPE
Responsible for managing all financial reporting for individual markets and corporate office. Supervise, hire and train staff of accounting managers. Ensures that daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities are performed in a timely, professional, and accurate manner. This position requires travel to states on the west coast, so individual should anticipate being out of town 5-7 business days a month. Responsibilities: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for reviewing the profit and loss statements by the designated deadline including an analysis of expenses and explanations of variances between budget and actual performance. This includes reviewing the monthly management report prepared by the Market Accounting Managers and General Managers monthly.
Responsible for preparing a monthly reporting package for the CFO’s review. This package will consist of a consolidated monthly statement of cash flow, income statement and balance sheet for the entire company comparing the prior month and year-to-date financials as well as detailed P&L’s and balances sheets for the corporate office and each stand alone markets.
Prepare annual budgets for the profit and loss statements as well as forecast revenues, expenses and cash inflow for all annual market events.
Review all Balance Sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis by the designated timelines and follow through to resolve any reconciliation items. Manage and review fixed assets, accumulated depreciation and depreciation expense using FAS software. Review monthly accounts receivable and identify any unusual issues with the CFO. Process and review accounts payable invoices daily and facilitate weekly check runs. Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accurate invoicing and payments. Monitor and review all of the trade accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Manage the daily cash flow and maintain an accurate cash projection. Also manage all of the bank accounts, merchant accounts, and investment account.
Review all monthly and annual reporting, which include annual property tax statements, unclaimed property, 1099’s, Ascap, BMI, Sesac and FCC reporting.
Ensure all Accounting Managers are fully trained to perform all of the job responsibilities. Conduct an annual training for all Accounting Managers to cover all appropriate topics. This includes updating the policies and procedures manual where necessary.
Produce any necessary financial reporting needs on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis (revenue pacing reports and revenue and net income projections by market).
Manage all external audits and ensure all necessary information is both reviewed and submitted within the timelines (401K audit and Annual Financial Statement Audit).
Identify and execute process improvements to either reduce time spent and/or expenses. Perform analytical reviews on current procedures to ensure the most accurate and efficient processes are being facilitated.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for supervising off-site Market Accounting Mangers. This includes carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. • Monitor, reconcile and administer all of the trade accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Annual reporting includes annual property tax statements, unclaimed property, 1099’s, Ascap reporting, BMI reporting, and aiding with the FCC reporting.
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining office supplies.
• Obtain a full understanding of the Traffic and Accounts Receivable systems and responsibilities to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient work is completed as per the documented Traffic responsibilities.
PAYROLL/HUMAN RESOURCES
• Calculate sales commission based on each account executives contract that include tracking commission percentages by client, event, and/or revenue type. This also includes maintaining accurate deductions from the sales commissions including chargeback’s, cell phones, draws and advances. Also audit hourly employee timesheets and review salaried employee wages in order to submit payroll semi-monthly to the Payroll Manager accurately and within designated timelines.
• Responsible for input of bi-monthly payroll for all market personnel. Responsible for entering the payroll journal entries into the general ledger which reconcile to the ADP reports and record the appropriate expenses into the appropriate periods.
• Ensure vacation and personal time is documented and recorded accurately for all employees.
• Oversee or act as EEO Administrator and coordinate with Corporate. Notify of any discrimination claims or repeated violations of company policies.
• Conduct new employee orientations with each new hire as well as prepare and review all new hire paperwork packages for Corporate as per company policy. This includes the detailed explanation of health benefits, vacation and personal time, holidays, 401K participation, voluntary insurance and life insurance.
• Responsible for maintaining complete personnel records for each employee and submitting original documents to Corporate HR Director regarding any changes in status, compensation, healthcare benefits, 401K, voluntary insurance, and employee advances.
• Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation as well as conduct exit interviews.
• Respond to employee complaints and maintain documentation on all issues and forward them to Corporate immediately that is potentially litigious.
• Responsible for posting of required notices at cluster location.
