The intern must have had or be enrolled in an introductory audio production course and also be familiar with Adobe Audition. The desired skills include a basic understanding of audio production techniques, recording, copywriting, and database management.
The Newsroom Intern will assist in the aspects of reporting and become familiar with what goes into being a news reporter. They will aid in writing and producing a news report as well as answering and making phone calls. If applicable, the intern will go out on assignments with the reporter. The On Air Intern for KJYO is an evening position.
