Description: Advertising Executive/Marketing Specialist. The individual selected will be responsible for continuing the excellent relationships with current advertising clients.
Responsibilities: The candidate selected will identify, cultivate, and secure new advertising clients. The Advertising Executive/Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating proposals, contracts, copy, promotions, and website advertising packages. The ideal candidate must not only have the desire to succeed and demonstrate a high level of energy and initiative, but also have superior integrity and a strong ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
The Advertising Executive/Marketing Specialist works independently with general direction and collaboration from the owners. The Advertising Executive/Marketing Specialist will implement and coordinate a comprehensive underwriting marketing program for a public broadcasting station in accordance with defined revenue goals and in compliance with relevant FCC regulations. Duties also include negotiation and preparation of contracts and agreements, and overseeing and monitoring their fulfillment by the station.
Requirements: Bachelor`s degree; at least 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Associate's Degree; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Preference will be given to candidates who have a proven track record in successful radio media sales; have experience preparing results-oriented radio sales packages; have excellent relationship-building and relationship- maintaining skills; have the ability to work independently and collaborate with the client. The candidate should be outgoing, creative and able to think outside the box. Experience in other multi-media sales will be considered.
