Description: KDVR/KWGN has an immediate opening for a Newscast Director/Technical Director.

Responsibilities: Successful candidate should expect to Direct and TD any of the 13 ½ hours of news and local programming produced by KDVR/KWGN every day.

Requirements: Must have at least 5 years experience directing and technical directing in medium to large markets and have operational proficiency and understanding of production equipment including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic camera and newsroom operating systems. Experience with server based video systems, VizRT, Ross switchers, Ross Overdrive or equivalent automated control system is preferred. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the ability to perform at a high level in a professional and fast paced environment, have strong verbal communication skills as well as the ability to be a leader for the shows you are directing. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with Engineering, Creative Services and the News departments to coordinate all aspects of the newscast. Candidate must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays as well as early morning or evening shifts.
