Responsibilities: Make agency & direct sales calls with Telerep to national clientele for the purpose of generating revenue for the station(s). Service national offices and handle accounts as determined by Belo Phoenix sales management. Develop a thorough knowledge of stations’ policies, procedures and operations. Provide Telerep offices and agencies with information about stations (avails, research, specials, packages, rates and NTR opportunities). Present station information, negotiate business, approve orders, service clients and assist in maintaining inventory control. Knowledge of competitive programming, rates and ratings is necessary. Out of state travel and entertainment required. Have a dedication and the ability to develop relationships with the goal of attaining local Phoenix contacts for national accounts. Requirements: • Minimum 5 years broadcast sales with national experience preferred. • 3-5 years broadcast sales management experience preferred. • Extensive experience in agency business, ratings negotiations, forecasting, and account development is required. • A proven track record of sales successes with ability to make high level agency calls with Media Directors & Supervisors. • Knowledge & experience in internet sales a must. • Preferred candidates will possess an understanding of the Phoenix Television market. • College degree preferred. Strong communication, presentation and math skills required. • Excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. • Valid Arizona’s Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
