KVOA-TV in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a qualified Broadcast Equipment Maintenance Engineer.    The position will provide technical support to broadcast facilities in repair, maintenance, installation and modification of technical broadcasting equipment at a high-definition television facility and at remote transmission sites. 

Candidate will be required to maintain “on-call” or “stand-by” status for response to emergency situations and be able to work highly varied and flexible hours (i.e. nights, weekends and holidays). 

Responsibilities:

Travels to remote locations for equipment repair, work under pressure in order to meet broadcast deadlines, make decisions and take corrective action without supervision are all a part of this job.  Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills are essential.

Requirements:

Candidate must have at least 5 years experience at a broadcast facility. Experience with maintenance of broadcast ENG equipment (Panasonic P2 and non-linear edit a plus).  Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of Windows 7/8/10 and server 2008/2012 workstations, Mac OS & Final Cut Pro experience a plus. Applicant should be comfortable troubleshooting computer systems at the component level.

In addition to working well independently, candidate must also work well as part of a team. Must be well organized, detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) including a predisposition to providing excellent customer service. Candidate must be able to lift 25lbs.
