JOB DESCRIPTION:
WAFB CBS 9, the #1 television station in Baton Rouge, LA, is searching for a strong, energetic Local Sales Manager to lead an experienced local sales team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader who takes advantage of every opportunity to maximize revenue on multiple screens. The Local Sales Manager will be challenged with formulating and executing strategies to attain high monetary goals. Finally, we are seeking a self-motivated sales leader who can not only coach, but lead by example.

Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of three years media sales experience. Preferred candidates will have at least two years’ background managing experienced media sales teams. A successful track record of transactional sales, local new business revenue, non-traditional revenue, and digital revenue is required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a self-starter with good time management skills and the ability to multi-task. Must have excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to establish and grow relationships with key local and regional clients while achieving high expectations in new business revenue. Must be proficient in Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Word. Wide Orbit and Comscore experience preferred. Candidate must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and MVR check.
